Hi!
Has anyone taken the php course before? I feel like php is just one of those things a person should know.. Is the course worth taking, or should I just pick up a book and figure it out myself?

I have, PHP is very great if you're in to web programming,
it deals with databases so it's better if you have taken the database course,
now if you have, this "crash" course at the university only puts you on the track of learning PHP, doesn't cover much, but enough to start, and it's better than starting with reading books and tutorials,
and one more thing, to start learning PHP it's much much better if you have an idea about HTML, which is very easy to learn, you can read a tutorial and finish learning it's basics in 1-3 hours, tell me if you need a link fro a tutorial
